The new Firehorse at Vergelegen is a temporary restaurant set under the oak trees with beautiful mountain views offering a classic bistro-styled menu. Guests can expect Stables menu favourites and some new seasonal additions. Enjoy delicious winter dinner specials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FIREHORSE WILL BE CLOSED FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH ON FRIDAY, 14 AUGUST 2026, FOR A PRIVATE FUNCTION. FIREHORSE WILL BE OPEN FOR DINNER FROM 18H00 TO 21H00 ON FRIDAY, 14 AUGUST.

Enjoy a relaxed dining experience at our temporary restaurant, Firehorse. The menu is classic, with a modern twist, serving all of Stables favourites with some new seasonal additions. Expect the same friendly service from the original Stables team.

Sip on award-winning wines, enjoy breath-taking views of the Hottentots Holland mountain range under the oak trees in the temporary glass marquee.

Firehorse at Vergelegen is open Monday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch (08H30 to 17H00. Kitchen closes at 15h30).

Operating hours

Mon-Sun 08H30-17H00  | Kitchen closes at 15H30.
Dinner service: Thursday–Saturday, 18h00–20h30
