Café Fleur, located in the lush gardens of picturesque Vergelegen wine estate in Somerset West, has launched its eagerly anticipated spring menu with a special offer.
Guests can enjoy a free glass of Vergelegen bubbly or Sauvignon Blanc to accompany a main course, valid until Sunday 29 October.
Ushering in the new season, chef Michelle Barry and her team have drawn inspiration from bountiful local ingredients and the centuries-old culinary traditions of France, ensuring that every dish is a masterpiece of taste and presentation.
Highlights of the spring food and beverage menus include:
Sublime starters: From West Coast oysters to duck terrine, tuna tartare to soft shell crab and prawns, each plate is a work of art designed to tantalise the taste buds.
Magical main courses: Succulent rack of lamb, perfectly grilled line fish, crispy duck breast and fresh trout celebrate the arrival of spring.
Vegan catering: Artichoke and herb terrine, butternut Wellington, and mango and granadilla sorbet combine taste and presentation.
Delectable desserts: Yummy desserts such as raspberry tartlet, crème brûlée with strawberry consommé, and baked chocolate and raspberry cheesecake, feature fresh fruits.
Exceptional wine pairings: Each dish is perfectly complemented by wines from Vergelegen’s cellar, plus a selection of international wines.
Says Vergelegen managing director Wayne Coetzer: “Our new menu captures the essence of the long-awaited spring season. After a bitterly cold winter, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us at our beautiful wine farm, where every dish and glass of wine tells a story.”
