A powerful red blend with spice and cassis.
This pioneering red blend reflects the micro-climate and terroir of Vergelegen. Sourced and hand-selected from our warmer north- and north-west-facing vineyards, which produce succulent fruit and ripe tannins. Cassis, pencil shavings and spice dominate the nose and palate.

Sourced from all our red vineyard sites on the property – a true expression of Vergelegen’s brilliant vienyards.
VINIFICATION
The grapes were harvested according to varietal ripeness. Different fermentations and timings were used, according to varietal, in stainless steel tanks. This was followed by maturation in combinations of barrel size and oak type (including the length of time spent in oak) after which the alchemic process of blending took place.
